IF you’re  looking to work from home but have no idea what you want to do, I am here to tell you that it is possible to make a decent living online selling goods, but not just any a goods, no other peoples goods! yes you heard me, I’m not talking about dropshipping either I am talking about other promoting and selling various businesses goods within a chosen niche.

It IS possible to earn money online selling someone else’s products!

How can this be done?

Its very easy and can be done without even using a website if you on’t want to! You can achieve this via email without any complicated setup processes.

This is how I started out working from home with an online business after being an eBay power seller and now I earn a fulltime living from home!

What Is Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is is quite a simple process which starts with a person(The affiliate) promoting in order to sell another persons (the vendor) product, once this a sale has been made through the promotion the affiliate receives a commission of the vendor.  That’s it! The affiliates job is done and the vendor does the rest. Is that not an easy business model?

The referreal system has obviusly been around along time, for instance word of mouth advertising etc where the seller would give the advertiser a cut of the sale.

Thanks to the internet you now have a global audience to pitch to and now there are ways to track referrals digitally. This industry is worth billions and there is plenty of room for you to!

The world is your oyster as you are not tied down to a specific brand and can promote various products of your choice. This guide gives you a brief insight on what can be done.

The Process Explained

 

Thanks to the technology within the internet we are able to track our referrals easily. When you join an affiliate program and set up an account, you will be given your own code number that is normally made up of letters and numbers.

As you can see my personal code number is df81c228. That will be tracked and from that I can see from the stats page who has visited or signed up.

This is a great affiliate program and pays out $23.50 a month recurring. I have 65 referrals so far and receive $23.50 a month from each referral. That actually covers my basic outgoings each month, so for a little time invested in something I have a passive income from just one affiliate program.

My only overhead for this is $49 a month as a premium member which covers The training,support, webhosting of up to 50 domain websites and the security of said websites as well as other services as well.

Using Affiliate Marketing as a Business

I speak from my own experience and fellow marketers I know and can confirm it can be run as a business with success but it does not come without hard work just as an offline business requires work to get it of the ground, so does an online business of any kind hence I wrote this quick guide in order to save you time

I promote products through various websites I own and some are from very big companies such as Amazon and Microsoft.

Companies supplement their income by offering affiliate programs so other people advertise for them. It also offers them away to provide offers to subscribers and helps them grow their customer base.

In order to run a good affiliate campaign via email marketing you need  a simple strategy to work from.

You need to

1. Build a subscriber list in order to tell people about your offers. in order to get someone to subscribe it is best to offer a free gift so they get something for offering their email addresses.
2. Provide content to the subscriber to keep them engaged with your emails. Its not just a case of emailing them offers.
3. Promote your affiliate offers in an email such as a newsletter but not stright away. It is vest to send a couple of engaging emails first.

Finding The Right Offers

 

I know this sounds very exciting, I still get excited with it however it is important to choose the right offers to succeed with an affiliate program so it is important to understand the industry.

You will soon discover that there are literally thousands of offers out there that are spread across many different niches and industries so it is necessary to filter out the ones you are not interested in.

The best way is to choose a niche that is performing well so you can reach the best engagement from your audience.

Niches that perform well are:

• Weight Loss
• Fitness
• Personal Development
• Dating
• Kids
• Finances
• Hobbies

to name but a few.

Once a Niche has been chosen you need to then research affiliate links and these can be divided inot three categories that are selected via the price range..

• Low Range –        $1 and $97
• Medium Range–   $97 and $700
• High-Range –      $700

The reason for this is due to how you will pitch the sale. The more expensive a product is then the more detailed your offer has to be to biuld that relationship with your customer and keep them engaged.

Lower priced products will sell with just a promotional email but something rather expensive will take more effort such as a sales video or webinar.

Another good tactic to implement as you build your subscribers list is to send a mixture of offers as many people have more than one interest. You can also mix the price ranges from these offers!

Choosing an offer

In order to select the best affiliate offer to use, it is important to do your research and understand what to look for as with anything in business.

The data you should look out for are:

1. The Sales Page – what is the quality of the page like? How long is it and compare with it competiton within the same category.
2. Conversion rates – This shows you how well the product is selling, The more affiliates promoting it then the better it is to promote it funnily enough!
3. Commission – You want to choose a percentage that will renumerate you for your advertising costs and also he work you have put into produce your content.

It is also a good idea to check out keyword research in order to confirm people are looking for products you are promoting.

Your due diligence is important but so is the opinions of your audience. Check out product reviews, if its getting good reviews that is also a good indicator of consumer opinion.

Knowledge Of Your Product

if at all possible it is alwayts best for you to sample the product yourself and include imagery as proof of purchase as you are trying to build a relationship and trust with your subscribers.

Showing yourself testing the product out will show your honesty and integrity and show continuity in what you are saying in your sales pitch.

You are building a brand don’t forget and you want your customers to trust your opinions on the products you promote.
